Voltarene Emulgel 1%

Indication

Topical non-steroidal anti-inflammatory gel for short-term symptomatic treatment of painful flare-ups of osteoarthritis (after medical advice). Also used for local treatment of benign traumatic conditions such as sprains (foulure) and contusions, and as adjunct treatment of muscular and tendino-ligamentary pain.

Ingredients

• Diclofenac diethylamine 1.16 g per 100 g of gel (equivalent to diclofenac sodium 1 g per 100 g)

Direction

For cutaneous (local) use. Apply the gel by gentle, prolonged massage on the painful or inflammatory area. In adults (from 15 years old) for a short duration. After application, wash hands thoroughly with absorbent paper (except when treating a painful flare-up of finger osteoarthritis). Read the leaflet before use.

Side effects

• redness
• rash
• contact dermatitis. Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use and stop if irritation or allergy occurs.

Precautions

• Do not use during pregnancy.
• Keep out of sight and reach of children.
• Do not use on broken skin
• eczema
• infected lesions or mucous membranes.
• After opening
• maximum shelf life is 6 months.
• Store at a temperature not exceeding 30 degrees Celsius.
