Indication
Treatment of hypertension. Treatment of renal disease in type 2 diabetic patients with proteinuria. Reduction of the risk of stroke in patients with hypertension and left ventricular hypertrophy.
Ingredients
- Losartan Potassium USP 50 mg
Direction
As directed by the physician. Usual starting dose: 50 mg once daily.
Side effects
- Dizziness
- Hyperkalemia
- Hypotension
- Elevated BUN and creatinine
Precautions
- Contraindicated in pregnancy
- Do not use with aliskiren in patients with diabetes
- Monitor renal function and potassium
