Indication
Fluid and electrolyte replenisher. IV infusion or as physician's order.
Ingredients
- Sodium Chloride 0.9 g / 100 mL
Direction
Administer by IV infusion as directed by physician. Store below 30°C. Discard unused portion.
Side effects
- Hypernatraemia (elevated blood sodium) if administered in excess.
- Fluid overload or oedema with excessive infusion.
- Local irritation
- phlebitis
- or pain at the injection site.
- Hypokalaemia or acid
- base disturbances with large
- volume use.
Precautions
- Keep out of reach of children
- Store below 30°C
- Single dose container
- Check that solution is clear and container is not leaking before use
