Indication
- Prevention of potassium deficiency - Treatment of hypokalemia - Electrolyte imbalance management - Supplementation during diuretic therapy
Ingredients
- Potassium Chloride
Direction
Take orally with or immediately after meals to minimize stomach irritation. Swallow whole with a full glass of water; do not crush or chew.
Side effects
- Nausea and vomiting
- Abdominal pain or discomfort
- Diarrhea
- Flatulence
- Hyperkalemia symptoms
Precautions
- Monitor renal function regularly
- Avoid in severe kidney impairment
- Risk of hyperkalemia
- Contraindicated with potassium
- sparing diuretics
- History of gastrointestinal ulcers
