Indication
- Vitamin D deficiency treatment - Prevention of rickets - Osteoporosis management support - Prevention of osteomalacia
Ingredients
- Cholecalciferol (Vitamin D3)
Direction
Administered orally or via intramuscular injection. Usually taken as a single dose repeated every few months as prescribed.
Side effects
- Nausea and vomiting
- Constipation
- Excessive thirst
- Loss of appetite
Precautions
- Hypercalcemia or hypercalciuria
- History of kidney stones
- Monitor serum calcium levels
- Avoid additional Vitamin D supplements
