- Treatment of potassium deficiency - Prevention of hypokalemia - Supplementation for patients taking diuretics - Management of electrolyte imbalance
Ingredients
- Potassium Chloride
Direction
Take orally with a large glass of water during or after a meal. Swallow tablets whole; do not crush or chew them.
Side effects
- Nausea and vomiting
- Abdominal pain
- Diarrhea
- Gastrointestinal irritation
- Hyperkalemia with overdose
Precautions
- Chronic renal failure
- High blood potassium levels
- Use of potassium
- sparing diuretics
- Gastric or intestinal ulcers
- Addison's disease
