Indication
- Type 2 diabetes mellitus - Glycemic control improvement
Ingredients
- Glimepiride and Metformin Hydrochloride
Direction
Take orally with meals, usually once daily with the first main meal of the day. Swallow the tablet whole; do not crush or chew.
Side effects
- Nausea and vomiting
- Diarrhea or gastric pain
- Metallic taste in mouth
- Headache and dizziness
- Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar)
- Skin rash or pruritus
Precautions
- Hypersensitivity to sulfonylureas or biguanides
- Insulin
- dependent (Type 1) diabetes
- Renal or hepatic failure
- Severe alcoholism or dehydration
- Diabetic ketoacidosis
