Indication
Treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and inflammatory bowel disease (ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease).
Ingredients
- Sulfasalazine with povidone 535 mg equivalent to Sulfasalazine 500 mg
Direction
Gastro-resistant tablets to be swallowed whole with a little water. Take as directed by your doctor. Read the leaflet before use.
Side effects
- May cause nausea
- headache
- rash
- loss of appetite and reversible reduction in blood cell counts
- may colour urine and skin orange
- yellow. If you notice any side effects
- please inform your doctor or pharmacist.
Precautions
- List I
- prescription only medicine. Do not use in pregnant women unless no therapeutic alternative (Salazopyrine + pregnancy = danger). Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use.
