Indication
- Upper respiratory tract infections - Lower respiratory tract infections - Urinary tract infections - Skin and soft tissue infections - Otitis media (ear infections) - Dental abscesses
Ingredients
- Amoxicillin
Direction
Take orally with a full glass of water. Can be taken with or without food, usually every 8 to 12 hours as prescribed.
Side effects
- Diarrhea
- Nausea or vomiting
- Skin rash or hives
- Oral or vaginal yeast infection
- Abdominal pain
Precautions
- Allergic reactions to penicillins
- Cross
- reactivity with cephalosporin antibiotics
- Renal impairment requiring dose adjustment
- Potential for Clostridioides difficile
- associated diarrhea
- Use with caution in infectious mononucleosis
