NHU-K8 Ketzol Ketoconazole 10 mg/g / Clobetasol propionate 0.25 mg/g / Neomycin sulfate 5000 units/g

Indication

For fungal skin infections such as tinea manuum, tinea pedis, tinea cruris, tinea corporis and tinea versicolor when inflammation and susceptible secondary bacterial infection are also present.

Ingredients

• Ketoconazole 10 mg/g
• Clobetasol propionate 0.25 mg/g
• Neomycin sulfate 5000 units/g

Direction

Clean the affected area and apply an appropriate amount twice daily; typical treatment is two weeks for tinea cruris or corporis and four weeks for tinea manuum or pedis, unless the prescriber directs otherwise.

Side effects

• Burning
• itching
• redness
• irritation
• dryness or allergic contact dermatitis may occur.
• Prolonged corticosteroid or neomycin use may cause skin thinning
• stretch marks
• sensitisation or secondary infection.

Precautions

• For external use only
• avoid the eyes
• face
• broken skin and occlusive dressings unless specifically directed by a doctor.
• Use only for the prescribed period
• stop and seek medical advice if irritation
• allergy or infection worsens.
