Indication

Adjunct local treatment for mild sore throat without fever in adults and children over 6 years.

Ingredients

• Cetylpyridinium chloride 1.5 mg per lozenge
• Lysozyme hydrochloride 520
• 000 FIP units per lozenge

Direction

Allow 1 lozenge to dissolve slowly in the mouth, with at least 2 hours between doses. Use 3–6 lozenges daily and do not exceed 5 days of treatment.

Side effects

• May cause allergic reactions including swelling
• hives
• or breathing difficulty
• stop and seek care if these occur.
• Prolonged use may disturb the normal mouth flora.

Precautions

• Do not use if allergic to egg protein
• lysozyme
• cetylpyridinium
• or another ingredient. Contains sorbitol and saccharin.
• Seek medical advice for fever
• severe swallowing difficulty
• worsening symptoms
• symptoms lasting over 5 days
• pregnancy
• or breastfeeding.
