Indication
- Severe acne - Hirsutism (excessive hair growth) - Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) - Oral contraception for women with androgen-dependent conditions
Ingredients
- Cyproterone Acetate and Ethinylestradiol
Direction
Take one tablet orally at the same time daily for 21 days, followed by a 7-day tablet-free interval. Start on the first day of the menstrual cycle.
Side effects
- Nausea
- Breast tenderness
- Headache or migraine
- Weight changes
- Mood swings or depression
Precautions
- High risk of blood clots (thrombosis)
- Contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding
- Not for patients with liver disease
- Increased risk for smokers over 35
- Monitor for breast cancer history
