Mucobrox Ambroxol HCl 30 mg

Indication

Mucobrox is a mucolytic agent used to facilitate the removal of secretions from the respiratory tract. It is indicated for acute and chronic bronchopulmonary diseases associated with abnormal mucus secretion and impaired mucus transport, such as bronchitis, asthma with mucus hypersecretion, and COPD.

Ingredients

• Ambroxol HCl 30 mg

Direction

Adults and children over 12 years: 1 tablet (30 mg) 3 times daily. Children 6–12 years: half a tablet (15 mg) 2–3 times daily. Children 2–6 years: consult a physician. Take with food and adequate fluid intake.

Side effects

• Nausea and gastrointestinal discomfort.
• Diarrhoea.
• Dry mouth.
• Headache.
• Allergic skin reactions (rare).

Precautions

• Use with caution in patients with peptic ulcer disease.
• Rare severe skin reactions (Stevens
• Johnson syndrome) have been reported
• stop treatment if skin rash occurs.
• Use with caution during pregnancy
• particularly in the first trimester.
• Consult a physician if symptoms do not improve after 4–5 days.
