Indication
Antacid suspension for relief of heartburn, acid indigestion, sour stomach, and gas discomfort. Used for symptomatic relief associated with gastritis and peptic ulcer.
Ingredients
- Aluminium hydroxide 320 mg per 5 mL
- Magnesium hydroxide 100 mg per 5 mL
- Simethicone 20 mg per 5 mL
Direction
Adults: 10โ20 mL (2โ4 teaspoonfuls) four times daily, taken 20โ60 minutes after meals and at bedtime. Shake well before use.
Side effects
- Constipation.
- Diarrhoea.
- Nausea.
Precautions
- Use with caution in patients with renal impairment.
- May interfere with absorption of other medications
- administer at least 2 hours apart.
- Long
- term use may cause phosphate depletion.
- Consult a doctor if symptoms persist beyond 2 weeks.
- Keep out of reach of children.
