LABIXTEN 20 mg

Indication

Non-sedating antihistamine used for the symptomatic relief of allergic rhinoconjunctivitis (including nasal and ocular symptoms) and urticaria (hives) in adults and adolescents.

Ingredients

• Bilastine 20 mg

Direction

Adults and adolescents 12 years and over: 20 mg once daily, taken on an empty stomach (at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal). Do not take with fruit juice (grapefruit, apple, orange) as it reduces absorption.

Side effects

• Headache.
• Drowsiness (low incidence — considered non
• sedating).
• Nausea.
• Fatigue.
• Rare: prolonged QT interval at supratherapeutic doses.

Precautions

• Take on an empty stomach — food and fruit juices significantly reduce bioavailability.
• Use with caution in patients with renal or hepatic impairment.
• Not recommended for children under 12 years.
• Not recommended in pregnancy without medical advice.
• Keep out of reach of children.
