Indication

Non-sedating antihistamine for symptomatic relief of allergic rhinoconjunctivitis and urticaria in adults and adolescents.

Ingredients

• Bilastine 20 mg

Direction

Adults and adolescents 12 years and over: 20 mg once daily taken on an empty stomach (1 hour before or 2 hours after meals). Avoid taking with fruit juices.

Side effects

• Headache.
• Somnolence (low incidence).
• Nausea
• fatigue.
• Rare: QT prolongation at very high doses.

Precautions

• Must be taken on an empty stomach — food and fruit juices significantly reduce absorption.
• Not recommended in children under 12 years.
• Use with caution in renal or hepatic impairment.
• Avoid concurrent use with CYP3A4 inhibitors (e.g. ketoconazole
• erythromycin).
• Keep out of reach of children.
