Indication
Non-sedating antihistamine for symptomatic relief of allergic rhinoconjunctivitis and urticaria in adults and adolescents.
Ingredients
- Bilastine 20 mg
Direction
Adults and adolescents 12 years and over: 20 mg once daily taken on an empty stomach (1 hour before or 2 hours after meals). Avoid taking with fruit juices.
Side effects
- Headache.
- Somnolence (low incidence).
- Nausea
- fatigue.
- Rare: QT prolongation at very high doses.
Precautions
- Must be taken on an empty stomach — food and fruit juices significantly reduce absorption.
- Not recommended in children under 12 years.
- Use with caution in renal or hepatic impairment.
- Avoid concurrent use with CYP3A4 inhibitors (e.g. ketoconazole
- erythromycin).
- Keep out of reach of children.
