Efferalganmed Pédiatrique 30 mg/ml

Indication

Efferalganmed Pédiatrique (paracetamol 30 mg/ml oral solution) is an analgesic and antipyretic for the reduction of fever and relief of mild to moderate pain in infants and young children.

Ingredients

• Paracetamol (Acetaminophen) 30 mg/ml

Direction

Dose by weight: 10–15 mg/kg per dose every 4–6 hours as needed. Typical doses: 5–7 kg (2–4 months): 2–3 ml; 8–10 kg (6–12 months): 3–4 ml; 11–15 kg (1–3 years): 4–5 ml. Use the measuring syringe provided. Do not exceed 4 doses in 24 hours.

Side effects

• Generally well tolerated at recommended doses.
• Rare: skin rash
• allergic reactions.
• Hepatotoxicity in overdose.

Precautions

• Do not exceed the recommended dose
• overdose causes serious liver damage.
• Avoid concurrent use with other paracetamol
• containing products.
• Use with caution in infants with hepatic impairment.
• Consult a physician if fever persists beyond 3 days.
