Indication
Symptomatic relief of nausea and vomiting. Treatment of bloating, abdominal fullness, and regurgitation.
Ingredients
- Domperidone 10 mg
Direction
Adults and adolescents ≥12 years (≥35 kg): 10 mg up to three times daily, taken before meals. Maximum 30 mg per day. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration.
Side effects
- Dry mouth.
- Headache.
- Galactorrhoea or gynaecomastia (rare
- prolonged use).
- QT prolongation (rare).
- Extrapyramidal reactions (rare).
Precautions
- Contraindicated with potent CYP3A4 inhibitors (e.g. ketoconazole
- erythromycin).
- Risk of QT prolongation — avoid in patients with cardiac arrhythmia or QT prolongation.
- Contraindicated in hepatic impairment and prolactin
- releasing pituitary tumour.
- Use with caution in renal impairment.
- Keep out of reach of children.
