Alpha CHOAY 5mg

Indication

Anti-inflammatory and anti-oedematous agent used as adjunct therapy in post-traumatic and post-operative oedema, and in ear, nose, and throat inflammatory conditions.

Ingredients

• Alpha
• chymotrypsin 5 mg (equivalent to approximately 900 Armour Units)

Direction

Adults: 1–2 tablets (sublingual or buccal) three to four times daily, dissolved slowly under the tongue between meals. Do not swallow whole. Follow the physician's or package insert directions.

Side effects

• Nausea.
• Gastric discomfort.
• Allergic reactions (rare).
• Oral irritation with sublingual administration.

Precautions

• Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to chymotrypsin or papain.
• Use with caution in patients with coagulation disorders or on anticoagulant therapy.
• Do not use in patients with severe hepatic or renal impairment.
• Keep out of reach of children.
