Indication
Symptomatic relief of allergic conditions (urticaria, allergic rhinitis), nausea, vomiting, and motion sickness.
Ingredients
- Promethazine hydrochloride 5 mg per 5 mL
Direction
Adults: 10โ25 mg two to three times daily. Children 2โ10 years: 5โ15 mg daily in divided doses. Do not give to children under 2 years.
Side effects
- Sedation.
- Dry mouth.
- Blurred vision.
- Extrapyramidal reactions (rare).
- Respiratory depression (especially in young children).
Precautions
- CONTRAINDICATED in children under 2 years โ risk of fatal respiratory depression.
- Avoid CNS depressants and alcohol.
- May cause drowsiness โ do not drive.
- Contraindicated in narrow
- angle glaucoma.
- Keep out of reach of children.
