Indication
Used for the prevention and treatment of Vitamin C deficiency (scurvy) and to supplement calcium. May support immune function and bone health.
Ingredients
- Vitamin C (Ascorbic acid) 1 g
- Calcium gluconate
Direction
Adults: As directed by a physician. Typically 1 ampoule (5 ml) daily, diluted or as instructed. The solution may be taken orally.
Side effects
- At high doses: diarrhoea
- stomach cramps
- nausea.
- Rarely: kidney stone formation with prolonged high
- dose use.
Precautions
- High doses of Vitamin C may cause kidney stones in susceptible individuals.
- Use with caution in patients with glucose
- 6
- phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency.
- Do not exceed recommended dose.
- Consult a doctor during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
- Keep out of reach of children.
