Indication

ETOM-90 (etoricoxib) is a selective COX-2 inhibitor (NSAID) used to relieve pain and inflammation in osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, gout, and acute musculoskeletal pain.

Ingredients

• Etoricoxib 90 mg

Direction

Adults: 90 mg once daily for acute pain or gout (short-term); 60 mg once daily for chronic conditions. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration. Take with or without food.

Side effects

• Oedema
• hypertension — common.
• Headache
• dizziness — common.
• Nausea
• abdominal pain
• dyspepsia — common.
• Increased risk of cardiovascular events with long
• term use.
• Elevated liver enzymes — uncommon.

Precautions

• Contraindicated in patients with established cardiovascular disease
• stroke
• or uncontrolled hypertension.
• Do not use in patients with active peptic ulcer or GI bleeding.
• Contraindicated in severe hepatic or renal impairment.
• Avoid in pregnancy
• especially third trimester.
• Can increase blood pressure — monitor regularly.
• Keep out of reach of children.
