Candid V-1 Clotrimazole 500mg vaginal insert

Indication

Candid V-1 is an antifungal vaginal tablet used for the single-dose treatment of vaginal candidiasis (thrush) caused by Candida species. It works by damaging the fungal cell membrane.

Ingredients

• Clotrimazole 500 mg

Direction

Adults: Insert one vaginal tablet as high as possible into the vagina at bedtime as a single dose using the applicator provided. Consult a doctor if symptoms do not improve within 7 days.

Side effects

• Local burning or irritation
• Vaginal discharge or discomfort
• Mild abdominal cramping (rare)

Precautions

• For vaginal use only.
• Do not use if allergic to clotrimazole or other azole antifungals.
• Avoid use in the first trimester of pregnancy
• second and third trimester only on medical advice.
• May damage latex contraceptive devices — use alternative contraception.
• Seek medical advice if this is the first episode
• symptoms recur frequently
• or are accompanied by fever
• abdominal pain
• or unusual discharge.
• Keep out of reach of children.
