CTZ Tab Cetirizine 10mg

Indication

CTZ Tab (cetirizine 10 mg) is a second-generation antihistamine used for symptomatic relief of allergic rhinitis (seasonal and perennial) and chronic idiopathic urticaria (hives), including sneezing, nasal congestion, runny nose, itchy/watery eyes, and skin itching.

Ingredients

• Cetirizine hydrochloride 10 mg

Direction

Adults and children 12 years and over: Take one 10 mg tablet once daily, with or without food. Children 6–12 years: Take 5 mg (half tablet) twice daily or 10 mg once daily. Reduce dose in renal impairment as directed by physician.

Side effects

• Drowsiness
• Dry mouth
• Headache
• Fatigue
• Nausea (rare)

Precautions

• Do not use if allergic to cetirizine or hydroxyzine.
• May cause mild drowsiness — use caution when driving or operating machinery.
• Avoid alcohol.
• Dose adjustment required in severe renal impairment.
• Consult a doctor before use in pregnancy or breastfeeding.
• Keep out of reach of children.
