Bromhexil 8 Bromhexine 8mg

Indication

A mucolytic expectorant used to relieve productive cough by thinning and loosening mucus in the airways, making it easier to cough up. Used in acute and chronic bronchitis, bronchial asthma, and other respiratory tract conditions with excessive mucus.

Ingredients

• Bromhexine hydrochloride 8 mg

Direction

Adults and children over 10 years: 8 mg (one tablet) three times daily. Children 5–10 years: 4 mg three times daily. Children 2–5 years: 4 mg twice daily. Take with sufficient liquid.

Side effects

• Nausea
• vomiting
• diarrhoea
• abdominal pain.
• Headache
• dizziness.
• Sweating.
• Rarely: allergic reactions including skin rash
• urticaria.

Precautions

• Use with caution in patients with gastric ulcers.
• Not recommended for children under 2 years without medical advice.
• Consult a doctor if cough persists for more than 7 days.
• Use with caution in patients with severe hepatic or renal impairment.
• Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
