STAMLO 10 Amlodipine 10mg

Indication

A calcium channel blocker used for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) and angina pectoris. Used when lower doses are insufficient for adequate blood pressure control.

Ingredients

• Amlodipine besylate equivalent to Amlodipine 10 mg

Direction

Adults: 10 mg once daily. Take at the same time each day with or without food. This is the maximum recommended daily dose.

Side effects

• Ankle oedema (swelling)
• flushing.
• Headache
• dizziness.
• Fatigue
• palpitations.
• Nausea.
• Rarely: severe hypotension
• exacerbation of angina.

Precautions

• Contraindicated in patients with severe hypotension or obstructive outflow obstruction.
• Contraindicated in cardiogenic shock.
• Use with caution in patients with severe hepatic impairment.
• May cause ankle oedema — inform your doctor.
• Do not stop taking without consulting your doctor.
• Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
• Use with caution in elderly patients.
