Vitamine C 500mg Ascorbic Acid 500mg Tablets

Indication

Used for the prevention and treatment of Vitamin C deficiency (scurvy). Also used as a dietary supplement to support immune function, wound healing, and antioxidant activity.

Ingredients

• Ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) 500 mg

Direction

Adults: Take 1 tablet once daily with or after a meal, or as directed by a physician. Swallow whole with water. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose unless under medical supervision.

Side effects

• Nausea or gastrointestinal discomfort
• Diarrhoea at high doses
• Kidney stones with prolonged high
• dose use (rare)
• Headache

Precautions

• High doses (above 1000 mg/day) may cause gastrointestinal discomfort and diarrhoea.
• Use with caution in patients with a history of kidney stones (renal oxalate stones).
• Patients with glucose
• 6
• phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency should use with caution.
• May interfere with laboratory tests for glucose and occult blood.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Consult a doctor before use in patients with haemochromatosis or other iron overload conditions.
