Indication

AkneDerm BP 2.5 (Benzoyl peroxide 2.5% gel) is a topical antibacterial agent used for the treatment of mild to moderate acne vulgaris. It reduces acne-causing bacteria (Cutibacterium acnes) and helps unclog pores.

Ingredients

• Benzoyl peroxide 2.5%

Direction

Apply a thin layer to clean, dry affected skin once or twice daily, or as directed by a physician. Start with once daily and increase if tolerated. Wash hands before and after application. Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, and mucous membranes.

Side effects

• Skin dryness

• Allergic contact dermatitis (rare).

• For external use only.

• May bleach hair
• clothing
• and fabric — allow to dry before contact.
• May cause dryness
• peeling
• or irritation
• especially at the start of treatment.
• Avoid excessive sun exposure
• use sunscreen during the day.
• Discontinue use if severe irritation or allergic reaction occurs.
• Keep out of reach of children.
