Indication

Regulut-N 5 mg (Domperidone) is a dopamine antagonist used to relieve nausea, vomiting, and symptoms of gastroparesis including bloating, fullness, and upper abdominal discomfort.

Ingredients

• Domperidone 5 mg

Direction

Adults: 10 mg (2 tablets) 3 times daily, 15–30 minutes before meals, and if necessary at bedtime. Do not exceed 30 mg/day. Take for the shortest effective duration.

Side effects

• Dry mouth
• headache.
• QT prolongation (rare but serious).
• Elevated prolactin levels (galactorrhoea
• gynaecomastia with prolonged use).
• Extrapyramidal reactions (rare
• mainly in children).

Precautions

• Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to domperidone.
• Contraindicated in patients with prolactin
• releasing pituitary tumour.
• May prolong QT interval — avoid in patients with cardiac disease or electrolyte disturbances.
• Avoid concurrent use with CYP3A4 inhibitors (e.g. ketoconazole
• erythromycin).
• Use with caution in patients with renal or hepatic impairment.
• Keep out of reach of children.
