Indication
Regulut-N 5 mg (Domperidone) is a dopamine antagonist used to relieve nausea, vomiting, and symptoms of gastroparesis including bloating, fullness, and upper abdominal discomfort.
Ingredients
- Domperidone 5 mg
Direction
Adults: 10 mg (2 tablets) 3 times daily, 15–30 minutes before meals, and if necessary at bedtime. Do not exceed 30 mg/day. Take for the shortest effective duration.
Side effects
- Dry mouth
- headache.
- QT prolongation (rare but serious).
- Elevated prolactin levels (galactorrhoea
- gynaecomastia with prolonged use).
- Extrapyramidal reactions (rare
- mainly in children).
Precautions
- Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to domperidone.
- Contraindicated in patients with prolactin
- releasing pituitary tumour.
- May prolong QT interval — avoid in patients with cardiac disease or electrolyte disturbances.
- Avoid concurrent use with CYP3A4 inhibitors (e.g. ketoconazole
- erythromycin).
- Use with caution in patients with renal or hepatic impairment.
- Keep out of reach of children.
