Tren 250mg

Indication

Tren (Mefenamic Acid 250 mg) is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used for relief of mild to moderate pain including headache, dental pain, dysmenorrhoea (period pain), and musculoskeletal pain.

Ingredients

• Mefenamic Acid 250 mg

Direction

Adults and children over 14 years: 500 mg (2 capsules) initially, then 250 mg every 6 hours as required, with food or milk. Do not use for more than 7 days.

Side effects

• Gastrointestinal upset: nausea
• vomiting
• diarrhoea
• abdominal pain.
• Peptic ulceration and gastrointestinal bleeding (rare).
• Dizziness
• drowsiness
• or headache.
• Skin rash or urticaria.
• Rare: haemolytic anaemia with prolonged use.

Precautions

• Contraindicated in patients with peptic ulcer or gastrointestinal bleeding.
• Contraindicated in renal or hepatic impairment.
• Avoid in patients with known hypersensitivity to NSAIDs or aspirin.
• Use with caution in patients with cardiovascular disease.
• Not recommended during pregnancy
• especially in the third trimester.
• Avoid concurrent use with other NSAIDs
• anticoagulants
• or corticosteroids.
