Indication

T3-Adel Adapalene Gel 0.1% is a topical retinoid used for the treatment of mild to moderate acne vulgaris. It normalises follicular keratinisation, reduces comedone formation, and has anti-inflammatory properties.

Ingredients

• Adapalene 0.1%

Direction

Adults and adolescents: Apply a thin layer to the affected skin area once daily at bedtime, after cleansing and drying the skin. Avoid contact with eyes, lips, and mucous membranes. Results may be seen after 8–12 weeks.

Side effects

• Very common: local erythema (redness)
• dryness
• scaling
• burning
• and stinging (especially in the first weeks).
• Photosensitivity.
• Rare: allergic contact dermatitis.

Precautions

• For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes
• nostrils
• mouth
• and mucous membranes.
• Avoid excessive sun exposure — use sunscreen during the day as adapalene increases photosensitivity.
• Do not use on broken
• eczematous
• or sunburned skin.
• Irritation (redness
• dryness
• peeling) is common in initial weeks
• this usually improves with continued use.
• Avoid concurrent use with other topical retinoids or medicated/abrasive skincare.
• Not for use in pregnancy — potential teratogenic risk of retinoids.
