EfferalganMed Pediatrique 30mg/ml Paracetamol 30mg/ml, 90ml

Indication

EfferalganMed Pediatrique 30 mg/ml oral solution is used for the short-term treatment of mild to moderate pain (such as headache, toothache, teething, or sore throat) and to reduce fever in infants and children.

Ingredients

• Paracetamol (Acetaminophen) 30 mg/ml

Direction

Dose is based on body weight: 15 mg/kg every 6 hours (maximum 60 mg/kg per day). Typical volumes: Infants 3–10 kg: 1.5–5 ml per dose. Children 10–30 kg: 5–15 ml per dose. Administer orally using the graduated syringe provided. Do not exceed 4 doses in 24 hours. Maintain at least 6 hours between doses.

Side effects

• Rare at therapeutic doses.
• Nausea

• Serious hepatotoxicity in overdose.

Precautions

• Do not exceed the recommended dose
• overdose may cause serious liver damage.
• Do not give with other paracetamol
• containing products.
• Use with caution in patients with hepatic impairment
• renal impairment
• or glucose

• phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency.
• Consult a doctor if fever lasts more than 3 days or pain more than 5 days.
• Avoid use in children under 3 months without medical advice.
• Keep out of reach of children.
