Flemex Kids 60ml

Indication

Flemex Kids Syrup is a mucolytic agent used to reduce the viscosity of mucus, making it easier to cough up. It is indicated for the symptomatic relief of productive cough and for the management of respiratory conditions associated with excessive or thickened mucus, such as bronchitis and upper respiratory tract infections in children.

Ingredients

• Carbocisteine 125 mg/5 mL

Direction

Children 2–5 years: 2.5 mL (62.5 mg) three times daily. Children 6–12 years: 5 mL (125 mg) three times daily. Give with or after food. Always follow the prescriber's instructions and complete the recommended course.

Side effects

• Nausea and stomach upset (especially if taken on an empty stomach).
• Diarrhoea.
• Skin rash (rare).
• Gastrointestinal bleeding (very rare
• particularly in patients with peptic ulcer history).

Precautions

• Contraindicated in children under 2 years of age.
• Contraindicated in patients with active peptic ulceration.
• Use with caution in patients with a history of peptic ulcer disease.
• Not intended to replace other prescribed respiratory medicines.
• Seek medical advice if symptoms persist or worsen.
