Kinafon 80mg

Indication

Kinafon (Trimetazidine) is used as adjunctive therapy in adults with stable angina pectoris when adequately controlled or intolerant to first-line antianginal therapies. It is a metabolic antianginal agent that protects cardiac cells during ischaemia.

Ingredients

• Trimetazidine 80 mg

Direction

Adults: 1 tablet (80 mg modified-release) once daily with a meal. Do not crush or chew modified-release tablets. Use as directed by a physician.

Side effects

• Nausea
• vomiting
• or abdominal pain.
• Dizziness
• headache.
• Rare: Parkinsonism
• like symptoms
• tremor
• gait disturbance.

Precautions

• Not recommended in patients with Parkinson's disease or movement disorders.
• Use with caution in patients with renal impairment
• dose adjustment may be needed.
• Discontinue if symptoms of Parkinson's disease
• tremors
• or movement difficulties appear.
• Not indicated for acute angina attacks.
• Keep out of reach of children.
