Indication

Spasfon is an antispasmodic agent used for the symptomatic relief of smooth muscle spasms affecting the gastrointestinal, biliary, and urogenital tracts. It is used for abdominal cramping, irritable bowel syndrome, dysmenorrhoea, and visceral pain.

Ingredients

• Phloroglucinol 80 mg
• Trimethylphloroglucinol 80 mg

Direction

Adults: 2 tablets (160 mg) up to 3 times daily. Children 6–15 years: 1 tablet up to 3 times daily. Children under 6 years: use liquid form as directed by a physician. Take with water.

Side effects

• Generally well tolerated.
• Rare: mild allergic reactions.

Precautions

• Not indicated for colic of intestinal obstruction or inflammatory bowel disease flare.
• Consult a physician if pain is severe or persists beyond a few days.
• Keep out of reach of children.
