Sara 120mg/5ml

Indication

Sara syrup is used for the relief of mild to moderate pain and fever in children. It is indicated for headache, toothache, muscle aches, and reduction of fever associated with common cold or flu.

Ingredients

• Paracetamol (Acetaminophen) 120 mg per 5 ml

Direction

Children: 10–15 mg/kg body weight per dose, every 4–6 hours as needed. Do not exceed 5 doses in 24 hours. Dosage by age: 1–2 years: 5 ml (120 mg); 3–4 years: 7.5 ml (180 mg); 5–8 years: 10 ml (240 mg); 9–12 years: 15 ml (360 mg). Adults: not recommended — use adult formulation.

Side effects

• Rare at therapeutic doses: skin rash
• allergic reactions
• Liver damage with overdose

Precautions

• Do not exceed the recommended dose.
• Avoid use with other paracetamol
• containing products.
• Use with caution in patients with liver or kidney impairment.
• Do not use for more than 3 days for fever or 5 days for pain without medical advice.
• Keep out of reach of children.
