Indication

Zentel 200 mg is an antiparasitic agent used to treat intestinal worm infections including roundworm, hookworm, whipworm, pinworm, and Strongyloides stercoralis. It is also used in systemic parasitic diseases such as hydatid cyst and neurocysticercosis.

• Albendazole 200 mg

Direction

Adults and children over 2 years: 200 mg twice daily for 3 days for most intestinal infestations, or 400 mg as a single dose (2 tablets). For systemic infections, dosage and duration vary — follow physician instructions. Children under 2 years: not recommended without medical advice.

• Bone marrow suppression with prolonged use (rare)

Precautions

• Contraindicated in pregnancy — use effective contraception during and for 1 month after treatment.
