Ingredients

• Sulfamethoxazole 200mg + Trimethoprim 40mg

Direction

Oral route suspension. 100ml bottle. For infant and child.

Side effects

• Common: nausea
• vomiting
• anorexia
• diarrhoea.
• Common: skin rashes (including urticaria)
• discontinue if rash occurs.
• Stevens
• Johnson syndrome and toxic epidermal necrolysis (rare but serious).
• Haematological: thrombocytopenia
• leucopenia
• megaloblastic anaemia (folate antagonism).
• Rare: crystalluria — ensure adequate fluid intake.
• Rare: hepatotoxicity.
