Indication

- Treatment of bacterial infections caused by susceptible organisms - Urinary tract infections - Respiratory tract infections - Septicemia - Neonatal sepsis - Burns and skin infections

Ingredients

• Gentamicin 80mg per 2ml

Direction

For I.M. or I.V. use. Dosage as directed by physician. Adults: 3-5 mg/kg/day in divided doses.

Side effects

• Nephrotoxicity
• Ototoxicity (hearing loss
• vestibular damage)
• Neuromuscular blockade

Precautions

• Monitor renal function during treatment
• Risk of nephrotoxicity and ototoxicity
• Avoid in patients with known hypersensitivity to aminoglycosides
• Use with caution in renal impairment
