Indication

- Treatment of vitamin B6 deficiency - When oral administration is not possible

Ingredients

• Pyridoxine (Vitamin B6) 250 mg/5 mL

Direction

Administered by intramuscular or intravenous injection by a healthcare professional, usually 1 to 2 ampoules per day.

Side effects

• Generally well tolerated
• Injection site pain or reaction
• Peripheral neuropathy with prolonged high doses
• Allergic reactions (rare)

Precautions

• Avoid prolonged high

• May reduce the effect of levodopa
