Indication
- Treatment of vitamin B6 deficiency - When oral administration is not possible
Ingredients
- Pyridoxine (Vitamin B6) 250 mg/5 mL
Direction
Administered by intramuscular or intravenous injection by a healthcare professional, usually 1 to 2 ampoules per day.
Side effects
- Generally well tolerated
- Injection site pain or reaction
- Peripheral neuropathy with prolonged high doses
- Allergic reactions (rare)
Precautions
- Avoid prolonged high
- dose use
- which may cause peripheral neuropathy
- May reduce the effect of levodopa
- Use under medical supervision
- Use with caution in pregnancy and breastfeeding
