Indication

Cold and flu symptom relief, cough and cold

Ingredients

• Paracetamol 500mg + decongestant/antihistamine combination

Direction

Adults and children 12 years and over: take 1–2 tablets every 4–6 hours as needed. Do not exceed 8 tablets (4 g paracetamol) in 24 hours. Take with a full glass of water. Do not use for more than 3 consecutive days without medical advice.

Side effects

• Drowsiness
• sedation.
• Dry mouth
• nose
• or throat.
• Nausea
• stomach upset.
• Difficulty urinating (especially in men with prostate enlargement).
• Increased heart rate or blood pressure.
• Liver damage with overdose or prolonged excessive use.

Precautions

• Do not use if allergic to paracetamol
• pseudoephedrine
• chlorphenamine
• or any component of the formulation.
• Do not exceed the stated dose.
• Do not use with other paracetamol
• containing products — risk of paracetamol overdose.
• Use with caution in patients with liver disease
• kidney impairment
• hypertension
• heart disease
• diabetes
• hyperthyroidism
• glaucoma
• or enlarged prostate.
• May cause drowsiness — avoid driving or operating machinery if affected.
• Do not use with MAO inhibitors or within 14 days of stopping an MAOI.
• Avoid alcohol during treatment.
• Consult a doctor if symptoms persist beyond 3 days or if fever is present.
• Keep out of reach of children.
