Indication
Anofen oral suspension is an advanced medicine for pain and fever. It is used for the symptomatic relief of fever, pain, muscle and joint inflammation in children and adults.
Ingredients
- Ibuprofen 20 mg/ml
Direction
Oral use. Shake well before use. 10-12 years: 15 ml, 3 times daily. 7-9 years: 10 ml, 3 times daily. 4-6 years: 7.5 ml, 3 times daily. 1-3 years: 5 ml, 3 times daily. 6-12 months: 2.5 ml, 3-4 times daily. Under 6 months: only on the advice of a doctor. Please refer to the package insert for more details.
Side effects
- Gastrointestinal upset including nausea
- vomiting
- dyspepsia
- abdominal pain and diarrhoea
- Headache and dizziness
- Skin rash or pruritus
- Rarely
- gastrointestinal bleeding or ulceration
- Rarely
- hypersensitivity reactions including bronchospasm or angioedema
Precautions
- Not recommended for patients with phenylketonuria (contains aspartame)
- Use with caution in patients with a history of peptic ulcer
- gastrointestinal bleeding
- renal or hepatic impairment
- Use with caution in patients with asthma or NSAID hypersensitivity
- Avoid concurrent use with other NSAIDs or anticoagulants without medical advice
- Consult a doctor if fever or pain persists for more than 3 days
- Keep medicine out of reach of children
- Controlled medicine
