Indication
Bioflor is a probiotic indicated for the prevention and symptomatic treatment of acute diarrhoea of various causes in adults and children, including viral and functional diarrhoea, antibiotic-associated diarrhoea, traveller's diarrhoea, prevention of recurrence of Clostridioides difficile infection, and as adjunctive therapy in acute infectious gastroenteritis together with oral rehydration.
Ingredients
- Saccharomyces boulardii CNCM I
- 745 lyophilised 250 mg
Direction
Powder for oral suspension. Empty the contents of a sachet into a glass of water or juice, or mix with food at a temperature below 50 degrees Celsius; stir and drink immediately. Can also be taken directly in the mouth and swallowed with a drink. Adults and children over 2 years: 1 to 2 sachets per day. Infants 3 months to 2 years: 1 sachet per day (only on medical advice). Duration of treatment is usually 5 to 7 days, or as directed by a physician. When used with antibiotics, space the intake by at least 2 hours.

- pruritus or other hypersensitivity reactions

- Saccharomyces fungaemia
- particularly in severely immunocompromised patients
- critically ill patients
- or those with central venous catheters
Precautions
- Do not use in patients with central venous catheters or those in intensive care
- risk of fungaemia
- Do not use in severely immunocompromised patients or those with serious underlying illness without specialist advice
- Not a substitute for oral rehydration in children with acute diarrhoea
- Consult a doctor if diarrhoea persists beyond 2 days
- is accompanied by high fever or blood in stool
- Do not mix with very hot (>50°C)
- ice
- cold or alcoholic beverages
- this inactivates the yeast
- Contains lactose
- avoid in patients with galactose intolerance
- total lactase deficiency or glucose
- galactose malabsorption
- Use in pregnancy and breastfeeding only when clearly indicated and under medical supervision
- Keep the sachet tightly closed and protect from moisture
- store below 25
- 30°C
- Keep out of reach of children
