Ketovid 2% w/w

Indication

Topical antifungal cream indicated for the treatment of tinea corporis, tinea cruris, tinea pedis, cutaneous candidiasis, pityriasis (tinea) versicolor and seborrhoeic dermatitis caused by susceptible fungi.

Ingredients

• Ketoconazole

Direction

Apply to the affected skin once or twice daily for a sufficient period, until a few days after disappearance of all symptoms.

Side effects

• Local burning
• stinging
• or itching at application site.
• Skin dryness
• peeling
• or irritation.
• Contact dermatitis (rare).
• Oily hair and scalp (for shampoo formulations).
• Systemic absorption is negligible
• systemic side effects very rare with topical use.

Precautions

• For external use only.
• Avoid contact with eyes.
