Indication
Topical antifungal cream indicated for the treatment of tinea corporis, tinea cruris, tinea pedis, cutaneous candidiasis, pityriasis (tinea) versicolor and seborrhoeic dermatitis caused by susceptible fungi.
Ingredients
- Ketoconazole
Direction
Apply to the affected skin once or twice daily for a sufficient period, until a few days after disappearance of all symptoms.
Side effects
- Local burning
- stinging
- or itching at application site.
- Skin dryness
- peeling
- or irritation.
- Contact dermatitis (rare).
- Oily hair and scalp (for shampoo formulations).
- Systemic absorption is negligible
- systemic side effects very rare with topical use.
Precautions
- For external use only.
- Avoid contact with eyes.
