Indication
Management of type 2 diabetes mellitus as a combination of glimepiride and metformin hydrochloride when diet, exercise, and monotherapy do not provide adequate glycaemic control.
Ingredients
- Glimepiride
- Metformin HCl

Side effects
- Hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar) — especially if meal is skipped.
- Nausea
- vomiting
- diarrhoea
- abdominal discomfort (metformin).
- Lactic acidosis (rare but serious — metformin
- particularly with renal impairment).
- Weight gain (glimepiride).
- Dizziness
- headache.
- Elevated liver enzymes (rare).
- Allergic skin reactions (rash
- urticaria).
Precautions
- Store below 30 C.
- Protect from sunlight and moisture.
- Keep out of reach of children.
