Indication
Productive cough. Cough due to bronchitis or emphysema.
Ingredients
- Bromhexine HCl 4 mg / 5 mL
- Guaifenesin 100 mg / 5 mL
Direction
Adult and children over 12 years: 2 teaspoonfuls (10 mL) 3 times a day. Children 6 to 12 years: 1 teaspoonful (5 mL) 3 times a day. Shake well before use.
Side effects
- GI disturbance
- Allergic skin rashes
- Vomiting
Precautions
- Special precaution is needed in GI ulceration
- pregnancy
- and lactation
- Guaifenesin can give false positive result of urinary 5
- hydroxyindoleacetic acid (5
- HIAA) and vanillylmandelic acid (VMA)
- Keep container tightly closed
- Protect from direct sunlight
