Difelene 50 mg

Indication

Anti-inflammatory and antirheumatic. Used for the relief of pain and inflammation in rheumatic and musculoskeletal disorders.

Ingredients

• Diclofenac sodium 50 mg

Direction

Adults: 50 mg 2–3 times daily with food or milk. Maximum 150 mg per day. Take orally with a full glass of water. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration.

Side effects

• Gastrointestinal: nausea
• dyspepsia
• abdominal pain
• diarrhea
• constipation.
• Headache
• dizziness.
• Elevated liver enzymes.
• Fluid retention
• oedema.
• Serious: gastrointestinal ulceration or bleeding.
• Serious: cardiovascular events with prolonged use.
• Rare: renal impairment
• skin reactions (rash
• urticaria).

Precautions

• Contraindicated in known hypersensitivity to diclofenac or other NSAIDs.
• Contraindicated in active peptic ulcer or gastrointestinal bleeding.
• Contraindicated in severe hepatic
• renal
• or cardiac failure.
• Contraindicated in the third trimester of pregnancy.
• Increases cardiovascular risk (myocardial infarction
• stroke) with prolonged use.
• Use with caution in elderly
• patients with hypertension
• or those on anticoagulants.
• Avoid concomitant NSAIDs.
• Keep out of reach of children.
