Indication

Corticosteroid used for inflammatory diseases, allergic disorders, and severe asthma.

Ingredients

• Dexamethasone 0.5 mg

Direction

Dose varies widely by indication. Adults: typically 0.5–9 mg/day in divided doses. Children: calculated by weight under medical supervision. Do not stop abruptly after prolonged use. Take with food to reduce gastric irritation.

• Cushing's syndrome features with prolonged use.

Precautions

• Contraindicated in systemic fungal infections unless adequate antifungal cover is provided.
• Contraindicated in known hypersensitivity to dexamethasone.
• Prolonged use suppresses adrenal function

• Increases susceptibility to infections

• immune patients.
• Use with caution in diabetes

• May mask signs of infection.
