Berodual solution 1 mL contains ipratropium bromide 261 mcg and fenoterol hydrobromide 500 mcg

Indication

Bronchodilator for prevention and treatment of symptoms in obstructive airway disorders with reversible airflow limitation, such as bronchial asthma and chronic bronchitis with or without emphysema.

Ingredients

• Ipratropium bromide 261 mcg per mL
• Fenoterol hydrobromide 500 mcg per mL

Direction

For inhalation with a suitable nebuliser only and under medical guidance. Dilute the prescribed dose with normal saline to the final nebuliser volume directed by the clinician. Do not swallow.

Side effects

• Tremor.
• Palpitations or increased heart rate.
• Dry mouth
• cough
• headache or dizziness.

Precautions

• Avoid getting the nebulised solution into the eyes
• especially if you are prone to narrow
• angle glaucoma.
• Use caution in heart disease
• arrhythmia
• hyperthyroidism
• diabetes or urinary outflow obstruction.
• Seek urgent care if breathing worsens suddenly after use.
